To think this gun was manufactured when John Browning was still alive! The firearm has survived both World Wars, The Korean War, Vietnam, Cold War, Desertt Storm & Iraqi Freedom, 9/11 and the Afghanistan War! I saw a 1911 at a gun shop in Salem a couple of weeks back with a manufacture date of 1912 with the original bill of sale and original leather holster for $2900.

Whoever gets this is purchasing a piece of history that has potentially seen a lot in it's time. Best of luck to you and if i had the funds I'd surely take it off of your hands.

Very cool. My father in law has one of these, dated 1913. In the white but a cool piece of history nonetheless.

Curious...Do you if this pistol is original...not gone thru by an US armory? Mine was made in 1918 and found it fascinating to take it apart and research all the parts that were not original. mine does have the original frame and slide I learned. GLWS
