Hi all,
Bought this from a co-worker. Took it to NW Custom firearms for a pre-shoot safety inspection and he determined the timing was shot. In DA it lines up, but in SA with pressure on the cylinder it stops short. It then clicks into place when the trigger is pressed. This needs to be fixed before the gun is shot!
NW Custom guns believes he may have a fix, if not we have a couple specialists lined up that can get it good as new for $85-$150, which puts it right about a normal value for this gun after getting fixed.
Finish is also pretty worn in a few spots, but looks like holster or a failed attempt at polishing, not dremel work.
Cylinder gap is good and lockup it tight both back and forth and rotationally. I cleaned all the carbon off and inspected for flame cutting and cracks, and found none.
I would like to trade it for something, even if someone elses project gun. If you have an idea shoot me an offer!
Off the top of my head:
Colt woodsman is top of my wish list.
Decent quality scope, variable preferred or something like a 4-12.
Muzzle loader, either modern style or flintlock.
Ruger 10/22
AR or AR upper
Pump action 12 gauge. (870 or Mossberg 500)
Any gen 3 or newer glock, stippled or beat up is fine! (And fair for the trade if we are honest)
A bunch of AR or OEM glock mags.
A .308 bolt action rifle.
G43, 43x, or 48
.22 pistol
I would like to get a trade value of what I put in, so please no jenkins offers. If I can't get something good I will have it ceracoated and sent off for an action job.
Will post more pictures tonight showing the wear on the other side.
Alright. Didn't get home until dark. Will clean it up and get better pictures by this weekend.
