Please explain what a high tension combat spring is, I've not heard of those.

I have fired this gun, and can attest to it throwing brass a ways. Also seemed to have reduced recoil, about that of a 9mm.
Nice gun. Fun to shoot.

None of the major spring makers (Wolff - ISMI) refer to any of their springs as "High Tension Combat" Am interested where that term came from, as Colt doesn't make their own springs.

If the cases are being ejected further than normal, that would tell me its a lighter than normal recoil spring...how light, we don't know.

Having a 45 feel like a 9mm in the recoil dept., tells me that something else has been done to the gun...such as a small radius firing pin stop, some aftermarket useless recoil reducer or?

    Still need more info. please.

    Standin by.
