Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army .45 ACP Single-Action Semi-Auto Pistol 5" blue-steel barrel, blue-steel slide, blue-steel frame with flat-mainspring rear grip-frame and lanyard ring, fixed sights dovetailed rear, checkered double-diamond wood grips with no logos, smooth-face solid blue-steel trigger, blue-steel spur hammer, thumb safety, grip safety, (2) blue-steel Colt magazine. Serial number is (2985WMK).
Right slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY", right frame is marked "No. 2985WMK. Left slide is marked "Colt's Pt.F.A. Mfg. Co. Hartford, CT. U.S.A." and left frame is marked "United States Property" with an inspector's mark that appears to be "JM" superimposed in a circle. Most recent patent date on left slide is AUG.19 1913 . ( 100% New Unfired Condition ) Original box & papers
