Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army .45 ACP Single-Action Semi-Auto Pistol 5" blue-steel barrel, blue-steel slide, blue-steel frame with flat-mainspring rear grip-frame and lanyard ring, fixed sights dovetailed rear, checkered double-diamond wood grips with no logos, smooth-face solid blue-steel trigger, blue-steel spur hammer, thumb safety, grip safety, (2) blue-steel Colt magazine. Serial number is (2985WMK).
Right slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY", right frame is marked "No. 2985WMK. Left slide is marked "Colt's Pt.F.A. Mfg. Co. Hartford, CT. U.S.A." and left frame is marked "United States Property" with an inspector's mark that appears to be "JM" superimposed in a circle. Most recent patent date on left slide is AUG.19 1913 . Is this a new production gun?

This is a "WMK" marked Colt, so it's the original 4000 or so guns that were made with carbonia blue, not the later "WWI" marked.

This is a replica of a WW1 Colt, Made by Colt in the mid 90s. It is a new production gun.
