There is an existing magazine ban but now they are are saying because a person can go out of state to buy a magazine the rifles themselves are loopholes and must be banned.

This comes up literally on the day scotus is deciding whether or not to hear the Snopes assault weapon ban case. Also note how the same BS could be used in WA state next year or even this year.

California tried this years ago and it gave birth to the "Bullet Button" mag release and devices that load the [fixed] magazine through the ejection port.

In your experience, are Colorado hunters more inclined to use detachable magazines in their rifles? That's a feature I never gave thought to in my hunting rifles at all and I've never emptied a 4 round stack at any one animal so never needed an on the fly reload.... Nor have I seen anyone else need one. In fact, I don't know of anyone with a spare mag at all for their bolt action hunting rifles. Strictly Oregon experience, mostly blacktail for me
