    A tad spendy .............Awful lot to pay for pretty....

    Turnbull TAR-10 Rifle: Western-Style AR-10

    Turnbull has taken the original Black Rifle and given it a Western make over. The rifle features premium American walnut stock, forend and pistol grip. The upper and lower receiver are both made from color case hardened steel. The rifle is chambered in .308 Win. The barrel is 16" 4150 chrome moly-vanadium.
    Some features of the Turnbull 308:

    16" 4150 chrome moly-vanadium barrel with screw on muzzle brake
    Carbine gas system for smoother recoil
    Premium American Walnut forend and pistol grip
    Color case hardened steel lower
    Color case hardened steel flat top upper with integral high picatinny rail

    Ships in lockable hard case, operator's safety manual and 4 and 10 round magazine
    One year Turnbull Mfg. Co. warranty
    Turnbull Mfg. Co. uses DPMS & Bushmaster barrels and other components in this AR.

    Sorry but I cant be the only one thinking this thing is uglier than sin and it must weigh at least double compared to standard aluminum AR10 carbine w/ the steel upper and lower and wood furniture vs aluminum/poly all at the extremely low cost of 3-4x the average AR10

    You can buy Walnut stock and grips a heck of a lot cheaper and put them on your alloy frame AR. The color case hardening does nothing for the guns looks.

    It's like an ar-10... only with brittle furniture and a rainbow motif. :paranoid:

    At least the people who can stomach this thing won't have to worry about me buying the last one behind their back.

    Personally, I have never seen a firearm made of wood and case hardened steel that I didn't like the looks of...until now.
