Thank you to everyone that replied. I apologize for not getting back here sooner to report. I got called out of town, but I'm back now.

Like many of you have said, it was the gas block. I tore the rifle apart to clean it and didn't find anything obvious. I do have a flat top rifle so, I pulled the hand guard off and eyeballed the gas block. Sure enough it was canted. While putting the upper down to track down an allen wrench, the gas block slid all the way down the barrel. Apparently, the gentleman that assembled the rifle didn't Loctite the set screws. I fixed the problem and re-assembled the rifle. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to get out to the range this week to make sure that everything functions properly again.

I really appreciate all of the help that was provided.
