Took the yak to Hagg Lake for a few hours yesterday morning. The only decent catch was this shot looking back at ramp A through the fog. Other than the wake boat ripping around out in the fog
it was a nice morning on the water.

On a foggy night, when the moon is bright. BEWARE of the HAGG LAKE MONSTER!!!

LOL!!! Paraphrased from an early '50s triple B rated, British monster movie! o_O

Mark, the water level is still at its low. It may have even dropped a little since I was out 2 weekends ago. It seems like a country mile from the top of the ramp to the waters edge.

...speaking of 'lost in the Orygone woods'.....

a meer few decades ago, a group of us were intent on hiking a small loop trail on Larch Mountain connecting a portion of the Multnomah Falls upper trail with a supposedly easy stroll thru the woodsy glenn. We even posted a rig to shuttle us all back to the main lot where we parked.

And we did have snacks and compass along. The trail maps all said one thing, the occasional USFS (or whoever) markers something else.

OK, 6 old buddy-long time friends-college educated (so was the theory) semi literate semi-hiker experienced folks, now 6 hours into a theoretical 1 mile easy-peasy hike....

We somehow stumbled out onto a paved road not 1/2 mile from our intended goal, but from another direction on a totally different trail.....
