Don't know, I didn't try. It doesn't look like it though you'd need to test it.

I am the original owner and traded it to tallshipsgo in May....nobody has contacted me about this rifle.

Magnum, the rifle can be fired with the stock closed, the charging handle is a little difficult to operate with it closed, but it will work.
