Trump was right about certain members of NATO. NATO is not strong and is outdated. Germany, the richest country in EU, blamed for not fulfilling NATO's targets for military spending. The US spending money again, which we don't have, to fight EU wars. How frustrating. Its like a wound that never heals.

As Russian forces invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea now the criticism of the German government rears it's ugly head. Here is what the Chief of German Army, Lieutenant General Alfons Mais said:

"And the Bundeswehr, the army which I have the honour to command, is standing there more or less empty-handed. The options we can offer the government in support of the alliance are extremely limited."
"We have all seen it coming but were not able to get through with our arguments to draw the consequences after (Russia's) annexation of Crimea. This does not feel good. I am fed up with it."

Sadly all you have to do is look what has come of this country if you want something to be sad about. I have long said one of the biggest problems we have here is since WWII life has just been too easy here. So we have all these people running around trying to out "woke" each other and yammering on about how horrible the country they live in is. Would love to put a bunch of them on a plane one way, to one of the socialist utopia's they think are so nice.

Americans haven't known hardship or adversity in generations now . I know people think that is a good thing, but experiencing some hardship and having to be responsible for oneself keeps you grounded.

I grew up poor and was raised by the greatest generation , from word go we were told the world didn't owe you anything and it was up to you to go get it if you wanted it. Not the message that has been preached to the last 3 generations plus.

Everyone gets a trophy is a bad message to tell young people.
