This one is a fun one. For a good friend of mine here on NWFA. He requested something a little different for his Chiappa. Slicked up all the internal parts. Making it butter smooth.:)
Pulled the octagon barrel off, trimmed it back to 17", recrowned. Turned the barrel round back to the wood forearm. Cut 1/2-28 threads to make it suppressor ready. Turned a threaded muzzle cap and matched it to the barrel diameter.
Trimmed the magazine tube back to match the barrel length.
Allot of custom order Winchester had half round barrels.
Now all it needs is a bath in the hot blue and it will be ready to go.

Very nice though, it made me wonder about turning an octagon barrel though, i assumed they were thicker and the angles also assisted keeping things in line, if you turn it back round again, does it affect that any?

You sir, are an artist. :s0155:

A new 1892 Winchester Chiappa .357 Mag reproduction with a 20" barrel sells for around $1,395.00 and I know that the one Velzey's working on was purchased for only $500.00. That leaves a little bit of wiggle room to retrofit this rifle into something unique without altering an original Winchester.
