we watched a re-enactment group replicating a recruitment parade of the Cheshire 33rd of Foot, Lord Cornwallis' Own.
They are wearing the pattern 1768/70 Home dress, to be altered somewhat shortly after the time-scale of this scene when they went to North America to deal with them pesky colonials.
I can answer most questions, probably, if you keep it simple. The colour, BTW, is NOT red, but madder, a much cheaper red dye. And yes, the corporal - wearing a white tab on his left shoulder, IS very tall - around 6ft 7in.
