I would like a greatly extended length of pull on the AR15 while still being able to use collapsible stocks.

This tube is awesome but way way out of my price range.

Is there a really cheap adapter that would thread into receiver and then allow me to thread the buffer tube into the adapter?

Won't you have to get a new buffer spring, or a spacer, etc. as well? Is the LOP not enough for you?

Ever think of just adding material to the back of the stock…. Rather than extending the tube?

Yes to all of the above.
If $90 dollars is too expensive it would be much more cost effective to rig up something on the stock. Heck you could chop another stock down and jb weld it to together. It will fit right in.

I found a trinity force collapsible stock in my AR parts stash. It has a rubber butt pad held on by two bolts. This weekend I will attempt to make some wood spacers that will extend the stock length. Only cost will be some longer bolts and maybe a few other pieces of hardware.

If that doesn't work, I may spend the $35 on the extension tube @msgriff linked to or a combination of both.

It's a start. This will add about 2.5 inches to LOP. The noisy parts will have to wait until later.

Still working on attachment methods to this stock.

Haven't figured out how I am going to install the butt pad yet but it is a near perfect length of pull (for me) as is. I will do some sanding and maybe a paint job on it next week. It's never going to be pretty but so far it appears functional and the price was right. $2 for two metric screws.

A5 buffer system gives you about 3/4" more tube AND more reliable function. It's basically a fixed-stock rifle-weight buffer in a slightly-bigger-than-carbine package.

.308 buffer tube for $38 and a 5/8" spacer and you can use a carbine spring and buffer.
If you don't happen to have a 5/8" nylon spacer from a Mack charge air cooler install kit then a stack of quarters will work if you can afford it.

Unscrew your current buffer tube until it's barely hanging on my the last thread. That'll get you an additional 4" at least

Sometimes you have to pay to get the result you want. I bet you have a bunch of hidey hole stuff you could sell off to buy it.

Man. I would find a wood rasp or something and knock the corners off of that 2x4!

Not much uglier than those Ruger stocks that do the same thing with thinner spacers, though.

I smoothed out the edges. I am going to run it as is for now and worry about attaching buttpad later.

Sorry but not sorry, this is some of the most retarded bubblegum you've ever posted and that says a lot. If one legitimately needed a stock as long as that stated in the OP they'd have to be about nine feet tall with gorilla arms. The ideal length of an AR stock is to bend your shooting arm 90* and adjust the stock to that inside length. The only exception is prone or bench shooting and I still wouldn't go there because too short is still more functional than too long.

I accept your non-apology. :)
