Midway sells a selection of DPMS uppers for sub-$500.

Most are "out of stock" but I seem to remember them having at least one flat top in stock @ ~$480 when I was shopping last week.

That said, we're on the same page with BCM.

And sometimes a Hyundai is exactly what you need. Depends on the mission.

That said, I agree BCM is one the best deals going with respect to balancing price and quality.

Not really. But you should check using a go/no-go gauge if you're purchasing from different manufacturers. You won't be able to do anything about it if it's not headspaced correctly aside from swapping barrels as the lugs are machined into the barrel.

If things are in spec, you should be able to move the BCG from upper to upper without issue.

If you have a Chrome lined barrel your only option is to switch bolts and see if you get lucky. If you have a non-lined barrel and you're short, you can ream the chamber out until it's correct, but if it's long, you should return the barrel and get a new one from the MFG, and since it's new/unfired shouldn't be an issue.

Stag has been around for a long time. They make a great product and they're uppers come with the BCG and CH. It is a true complete upper and quality is 100&#37;. Don't overlook them, the only reason they're cheap is because they're not greedy.
