Changing to a flattop ar15

I have a ar15 a2 with the handle. I would like to convert if over to the flat top. Can I just get the new part and change it fairly easy or do I have to headspace it? Also who makes good uppers ? Thanks.

It is a fairly easy job to swap uppers,headspace should not be an issue since you are using the same barrel and bolt. Again,that is still easy to check if you have guages.
Are you getting a stripped upper ? or one that is assembled with DC and FA ?
Hoping the barrel nut is not over torqued due to indexing,otherwise it shouldn't take more than 45 min to complete.
