I Challenge all of those that read this to visit your local Memorial Wall and read a name. Then ask yourself…What’s in a name?
The Walls are placed as a tribute to those that serve, Not All wall are for the past! Point of interest: The Grand Ronde Veteran’s Statue and wall is for any Veteran’s name, Living , Dead, serving & served.

I remember a couple of years ago I was at a Veterans Day ceremony here in Portland at the memorial wall in Washington Park. They had several people take turns reading every name on the wall. It was one of the most moving experiences of my life. I never served, but I thank god for those who have and continue to do so.

I was honored to shake the hands of three WWII vets, five Korean War vets, and several Vietman vets while walking the Albany Veterans day parade today.
