If someone can explain, normal capacity magazines(pistol & rifles) previously purchased before the new law came into affect, or they "grandfathered" in? Is the Washington State Patrol enforcing the new law? Are the majority of the county sheriffs not enforcing the law? Thanks.
 
Normal capacity is whatever the manufacturer originally sent with said firearm.

If you owned said magazines prior to 1 July 2022, you're good to go...they are grandfathered.

WSP isn't going to investigate magazines more than any LE agency in the state, as a lot of agencies are under staffed.

You'll have to contact each county Sheriff and ask.

I don't see this as any more than much ado about nothing.
