Ceracote/ Duracoat to prevent rust on carry gun

I have a great 1911 that I enjoy carrying but the bluing is getting thin and I have started getting rust spots on the side that goes against my body. Does Ceracote/ Duracoat prevent this? Are there any other options I should consider for taking care of this problem?

Cerakote is where it's at, vastly superior to Duracoat for wear/rust protection.

Check out Oregon timber wolf llc, took my Springfield in and did a two tone and had trijicon night sights installed and total was under 300.00, but they are a full service gunsmith shop they do repairs, customize, duracote, cerakote, bluing, hard Chrome you name it they do it
