BREAKING: Muslim Convert Beheads Woman in OK City, Suspect Shot by Good Guy With Gun
By Dan Zimmerman on September 26, 2014

"Authorities say a man suspected of beheading a woman at a food processing plant in suburban Oklahoma City had been fired." That's not a lede you read every day. And we think <broken link removed> is trying to communicate the fact that the suspect who hacked a woman's head off at Vaughan Foods in suburban Moore is an ex-employee at the facility. Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy "Lewis said the man entered the plant and stabbed 54-year-old Colleen Hufford, severing her head. Lewis said the man then started to stab 43-year-old Traci Johnson"
"That's when "Vaughan Foods chief operating officer and reserve county officer Mark Vaughan stopped the assault by shooting the suspect." Just to be clear, a murderous attack by a wack-o was stopped by a good guy with a gun." That popping noise in the distance is the sound of heads exploding at Mother Jones.
The suspect – who koco.com reports as 30-year-old Alton Nolan, who'd recently converted to Islam. Nolan had been trying to convert fellow workers as well. The second stabbing victim is reportedly in stable condition. The koco.com report makes no mention of the decapitation.

Police: Attack at Vaughan Foods Warehouse

MOORE, Okla. (AP) — A man who had been fired from a food processing plant in an Oklahoma City suburb beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot and wounded by a company official, police said Friday.

The 30-year-old man, who has not yet been charged, stabbed Colleen Hufford, 54, severing her head in Thursday's attack at Vaughan Foods, Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said.

"Yes, she was beheaded," Lewis told The Associated Press before a Friday news conference.

Lewis said the man then stabbed Traci Johnson, 43, a number of times before being shot by Mark Vaughan, a reserve sheriff's deputy and the company's chief operating officer.

While questioning the suspect's co-workers, investigators learned he had recently started trying to convert several employees to Islam, Lewis said. Moore police have asked the FBI to aid in the investigation and look into the man's background because of the nature of the attack, Lewis said.

Johnson and the suspect were hospitalized and in stable condition Friday, Lewis said.

Lewis said he does not yet know what charges will be filed, adding that police are waiting until the man is conscious to arrest him.

Oklahoma Department of Corrections records show the suspect, whom The Associated Press is not naming because he has not been charged, has multiple, apparently religious tattoos, including one referencing Jesus and one in Arabic that means "peace be with you."

Lewis said the suspect had been fired in a building that houses the company's human resources office, then immediately drove to the entrance of the business. Lewis said he didn't know why the man was fired.

"This was not going to stop if he didn't stop it. It could have gotten a lot worse," Lewis said.

A Vaughan spokeswoman said the company was "shocked and deeply saddened" by the attack.

FBI officials are reportedly investigating a beheading at an Oklahoma food distribution center after co-workers said the suspect tried to convert them to Islam after his recent conversion.
The alleged suspect, Alton Nolen, 30, was recently fired from Vaughn Foods in Moore prior to Thursday's attack. Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told KFOR that Nolen drove to the front of the business and struck a vehicle before walking inside. He then attacked Colleen Hufford, 54, stabbing her several times before severing her head. He also stabbed another woman at the plant, 43-year-old Traci Johnson.

Alton Nolen, seen here in an undated booking photo, was convicted in January 2011 of multiple felony drug offenses, assault and battery on a police officer and escape from detention, according to state records. Photo available in Fox News report.
Mark Vaughn, an off-duty officer who also serves as chief operating officer of the business, shot Nolen as he was stabbing Johnson.
Sgt. Lewis touted Vaughn as a hero Friday and said he saved Johnson's life.
"It could have gotten a lot worse. This guy wasn't going to stop," said Lewis.
Johnson and Nolen were still hospitalized Friday.
(snip)
According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website, Nolen has a criminal history dating back to 2006 that includes charges of possession of a controlled substance and assault and battery on a police officer.
He was imprisoned from April 2011 to March 2013 and is currently listed as being on probation.
The Department of Corrections describes Nolen as having several tattoos, including a picture of Jesus Christ on his chest, praying hands on his arm and an inscription on his abdomen that says, "As-Salaamu Ataikum," an Arabic greeting often used by Muslims translating to, "Peace be upon you."

Muslim convert Alton Nolen beheaded one woman and attacked another after being fired. He had been attempting to convert others at his work.
We warned earlier in the week about the threat of "soft target" terrorist attacks by organized terror cells sweeping over our undefended southern border. What we forgot to mention in that missive is the threat of Islamic converts on our own shores, who seem every bit as zealous and dangerous.
Yesterday a Muslim convert fired by food processor Vaughn Foods in Moore, Oklahoma, rampaged with a knife after his termination. He beheaded one female co-worker, and was stabbed another before being put down by shots fired by a off-duty deputy.
Officials with the Moore Police Department say the FBI is now involved in the investigation related to a brutal attack of workers at a food distribution plant.
Sgt. Jeremy Lewis says the alleged suspect, 30-year-old Alton Nolen had just been fired when he drove to the front of the business, hit a vehicle and walked inside.
He walked into the front office area where he met 54-year-old Colleen Hufford and began attacking her with a knife.
Sgt. Lewis confirms the type of knife used in the attack is the same kind used at the plant.
Lewis confirms that Hufford was stabbed several times and that Nolen "severed her head."
At that point, Lewis claims Nolen met 43-year-old Traci Johnson and began attacking her with the same knife.
Officials say at that point, Mark Vaughan, an Oklahoma County reserve deputy and a former CEO of the business, shot him as he was actively stabbing Johnson.
"He's a hero in this situation," Sgt. Lewis said, referring to Vaughan. "It could have gotten a lot worse."
Authorities say that Vaughn shot Nolen with a rifle. It remains unclear what kind of rifle it was, but the trio of shots fired in a short amount of time to subdue Nolen suggests it was a semi-automatic, and was perhaps even an AR-15 with a 30-magazine clip.
Nolen has an extensive criminal record, which includes multiple drug arrests, escape, and assault and battery on a police officer.
He did not apparently know his victims.
There were up to 300 workers inside the facility at the time of the attack

I'm sure the anti's will quickly dismiss this since the 'good guy' was a reserve deputy - someone with more appropriate 'qualifications' than than us poor average Joes - they will probably even claim if average worker bee had pulled a gun in defense that he would have been a bigger threat to the employees than Mr. Stabbington.

Will no doubt be classed as "Work Place Violence".

I respectfully suggest that Mr. Vaughan attend a marksmanship training course, as the perp survived.;)

Agree 100%. If there was ever a situation for a magazine clearing pull and hot reload this was it.

And to whomever suggested that 54 was an old woman, you do not want to run into my wife in one of those situations, you are clearly not going to be the winner, thanks to her training at the hands of 3 Marine Corp combat veteran sons.

Over the last 2 years, I have weaned myself off lame stream media. I can source my information on Twitter, various RSS news feeds, Facebook, ham radio among others. One of my hobbies / jobs is gathering information for several websites and Facebook pages. It is easy enough to do this, and anybody who sits down and listens to the TV news is getting the biggest load of horsesh*t in
the world fed to them.
