Hmm, bummer. Sometimes stuff seems to come and go - it may be that they share online inventory and brick/mortar store inventory. Every time I've ordered they have shipped within a few days so I don't think they are playing any supply chain games; more like being conservative.

I've had some luck checking their site a few times a day. It seems to be updated pretty frequently and I've found stuff that was out of stock to be back in stock the same day or within a few days. YMMV.

In any case, they seem to have pretty decent prices (for these times). And they often have a "daily deal" and usually "weekend deals". Hope that helps.
