Somewhere in the distant past I remember some discussion on whether you had to have your pistol directly on your person while in your vehicle and one of the replies had a letter from a WA AG stating that the interpretation of the law was that it didn't have to be ON your person but could be within reach or some such thing. Does anyone recall that copy or link? I've searched about 20 threads here and am not coming up with it.

Link to a .pdf is in post #17.

Thanks for that. I used to carry a xerox copy in my glove box but long since lost it. It is approaching 30 years old, but i think still could be helpful to persuade an LEO if it came up.
