I did one hand, took a week off then went back in and had the other hand done. Made all the difference in the world!
Did the procedure on Wednesday and I went in on Friday to get my stitches out.

You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

I had my right hand done 30 yrs ago. It was bad, waking me up at night feeling like my fingers were on fire. Kind of an antiquated
way of doing it. They wrapped a rubber tube around my arm like a tourniquet and shot it full of novacaine and no pain at all. until
they took the tube off and all the novacaine shot out of my arm.
"Do you want a percodan?" Teeth clenched YES and grabbed the 2 out of her hand & swallowed them as she was saying "Uh, one of
those was for later." Empty stomach and all I was slobbering by the time my GF picked me up. :D

1) "My knuckles always feel swollen. Maybe that's a symptom."
It may be a symptom of rheumatic arthritis (i.e. immunologically based as opposed to osteoarthritis).
Diagnosed by specialists, not by Boeing retirees on the 'Net.

2) If you're gonna do both @ once you might want to get a bidet beforehand. :D
Also, a rag secured to a stick might be considered as an accoutrement de toilette.

3) I had excellent results from CT surgery. I can recommend the hand surgeon @ VM Lynnwood from experience.

4) "F*ck surgery and DOCTORS!!"
Having had more surgeries than I can remember (only the ones under general anesthesia count) I can only say that if I subscribed to this philosophy I would have been dead or in a motorized wheelchair a long time ago.

That's how I think now days, like when I used to crochet, now it's a pipe dream.

You chrochet? Far out.

Yeah, my issue is arthritis, so the doctor says. In my wrist. It hurts like heck sometimes, other times not so much. At least, at this point in time, I can get a painful shot that relieves the pain for awhile. and the shoulder, and knee that may need replacing someday.

That's always the downside. I have a wonderful support staff at the house and being my umphth surgery, I've been and out and dependent on the wife more than once. This is but an minor inconvenience. Besides, if you fast 20 hours a day and then only eat meat and down narcos you shouldn't use the bathroom once in a week... right? Lol. Kidding.

Went in June 19th, just got stitches out today and will return to work Monday July 6th.

Need the floppy hand syndrome to go away. Braces on 24/7 for at least two weeks, preference a month.

I'll spare the photos but I'm optimistic about the train tracks going up my palm.

Looking forward to writing more well rounded responses to things when I can get back on the computer keyboard.
