Carbine conversions

I did a number of searches here but just didnt find any discussion that satisfied me on the subject.
I have thought about getting a carbine conversion, such as the MechTech, for my G17.
I am wondering what others experiences have been with products like this. Would like to see pictures and hear opinions, not just on Glock conversions but other standard pistol conversions.

How do you get SBR out of a stock and a 16" barrel?

I have two Mech-Tech CCU's: one on a 1911 in .38 super and another on a Glock in 10mm. Couldn't get the super away from my Wife, so had to get the 10 for myself.
They are NOT a SBR as the bbl is 16+ in. They are way too much fun. Shoot great and not expensive.

I had a mechtech in .45 and had no problems with it but I thought it was a little crude and eventually sold it.

My bad, I was thinking of a different product.
Now I can't think of the name of the damn thing though.
