Nice to see some cars/trucks on here. Not surprising, really. Car guys are usually gun guys, too.
Here's a couple of mine.
65 Mustang, 62 Falcon, 65 F250 4x4

OK Orygun..that 66 pickup is awesome. You got any more pictures of that you could post...I fell in love with the 66 Fords when I was about 12 years old, and got to ride in a few. Then I got to drive a 66 ford F650 fire truck for a few years.. I would pass up seats on the first out engines to get engineer on the Ford.

Without a doubt it was one of the best looking and performing pickups ever made.

Some nice cars. Keep the pictures coming. It's a shame to see younger people who don't want to work on classics. I had a few guys say they wouldn't have an old car because they would rather spend money on bolt on parts than time finding or making something.

A '66 Ford Pickup will look pretty darn good if there's ever a EMP attack.
The skills to build one.....and a spare coil and condenser ... and
bingo! ..............................On the road again.....:s0105:

Question: What do you get when you fix up an old 65 Rambler 440 American?
Answer: An old Rambler that runs like a top, but it's still an old Rambler. PA220023.jpg PA220026.jpg PA220025.jpg

I have been a gearhead since I was 16 (I am 30 now) I have owned a lot of cars over the years, the oldest being a '48 Buick. I have slimed down my herd now and I am down to a 1972 Dodge Demon (my car in high school) with built 440 and fresh paint! A 67 mustang with fresh 289 and getting ready for paint. And my 78 K5, 402 bbc, one ton axles, dual t-cases, OBA and 39.5 boggers. My old computer died so I don't have much for pics right now. I will have to take some new ones soon.
Here's an ugly pic of the K5...

I put in power steering and power disk brakes from a 1970 station wagon.
Nice thing about Ramblers is that they didn't change much year to year like most car companies.
I balanced and blueprinted the motor, and when idling, you couldn't tell if it was running with the hood closed.

My car was manufactured October 31, 1951, and revived October 31, 1990. The paint is House of Colors Black Cherry Candy with pearl ghost flames. The engine is a 402 cubic inch big block Chevrolet with a 6-71 blower fed by twin predators. The transmission is a GER transbrake powerglide with a 4500 stall converter transfering horsepower to a narrowed , 4-11 geared, 9 inch rear axle , shod with 29 x 15.5 Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires.

It sees alot of street duty lately, but, my quickest quarter mile time (on slicks, of course) has been 10.74 seconds at 125 miles per hour. Raced it hard for three years in the points. One time to the Nationals. Took a long time to get the racing bug out of my bloodstream ;) Still gets the adrenaline runn'n after all these years :)

HenryJ, that is a very nice car. Fully street legal?
Yes. "Very street-legal".

Gas mileage is bad. At the strip I got about 2 gallons per mile. Not much better running to town. It takes a full tank to make a round trip, even underdriven.
Really heavy for a race car. 3000# if I had breakfast. Handful on the street. Tires are wide, but not nearly enough traction to be fun :)

That's a good color on that '40 Plymouth. I've been debating on if I want to take the back seat out if mine and set it up like a business coupe. I have matching front buckets and rear seat at the moment. If I can find a nice bench seat, I may go back to original layout.
If you ever want a spare front bumper and brackets for your Plymouth, let me know. I'm not using the one off my Chrysler and it just sits in my shed. Needs to be refinished though, straight but rough.
