Cant log into NWFA...Help

I came to NWFA today under my usual account, ZigZagZeke. I find that I cannot post or start a conversation, and there is a box asking me for my email address and password:



My old email [email protected] is working just fine. I tested it from another account and I used a variation of it to create this temporary account. What's going on? What this notice is asking me for sounds exactly like a hacker phishing for passwords. If you are sending stuff to [email protected] and getting a bounce then there's something wrong on your end. If you are simply not getting replies it's probably because my spam filter doesn't like your sending address, subject, or content. Please let me know what's going on.

Still screwed up this morning.

I saw a post from another member talking about having received a scam email threatening to expose his alleged visits to porn sites if he didn't send money. He said the scammer had his NWFA password and cited it as proof of the member being hacked. It sounds like he got the password from something like the above window.

Did you by chance check your spam/trash folders just in case your system decided nwfa was spam? Also maybe try an alternate email. Weird situation, hope it gets resolved soon.

I designed and maintain my own spam filters on a rented virtual server. I keep a log of all traffic. I didn't see anything from NWFA going to dev/null (the unix black hole for spam email).

OK, so my ZigZagZeke account is still frozen. I can't even reply to this thread now with that account. This is getting pretty old, folks. I haven't heard from anybody that seems to be able to actually help me. I need to know whether this situation is a legitimate function of the site software or whether this site has been hacked somehow. I see that this has been referred to Joe Link and that's great, but I have had no other feedback from anyone about what's going on. WTF is going on?
