I have had mine for about 3 years, nothing but good to say about it. I have to say though "COVID quality" is a new term I use. Seems that it was not just government that went to s**t during COVID, but customer service and quality took a real hit too. If you sort the reviews by date, the further back you go the better they get.

Have had mine for over 5yrs w/o any issues and have not needed to change the batteries yet. Maybe I need to open it more often
