Sort of. The last I heard, they only could use 5-round detachable magazines. Though those five rounders could be attached "jungle style".

They can, they are in a restricted class and only available under specific regulations etc. They can be just like ours here but it's just the ownership that's difficult.

Requires permission to own, sell, buy and even travel with.

15 million firearms on the restricted list held by 2.2 million individuals. That is 7 per individual on average. The US citizens need to step up their game.
