That could be what happened, although they might have legitimately found a structural necessity for some parts to be different. I consider IWI a bit more sophisticated than to employ a purposeful structural alteration for no purpose but profit, but I could be wrong.

Update: so you must change the piston head on the 300blackout to run 556 everything else is the same. Guys hands down iwi USA has some of the best coustmer service I have ran across they are a company that are truly about their coustmer
