Thank you for your comments and thoughts regarding possible upcoming gun legislation. Senator Whitsett opposes any further restriction on possession of firearms and actually opposes many of those already in place, both at the State and Federal levels.



SB 347, 699, 700, and 796 have been referred to Judiciary Committee. You may call the committee chair and members and let them know you are opposed to these bills and you request they not be passed out of committee.

Announced this yesterday. The Senate maybe be up for a vote on this tomorrow! It PASSED the committee, but the Senate is up for a vote. There are about 14 Republican Senators that can stop this, and perhaps a few Dems that are gun friendly. In the wake of Boston, perhaps more Dems will wake up! Let's hope so. Some Dems are, hopefully, enlightened.
