Ms Harris as SF DA was inept, spineless, and unprepared.

From January 2009 through the end of last month, according to the records, Harris has obtained murder or voluntary manslaughter convictions for just 11 out of 20 homicide defendants at trial, with the rest acquitted or convicted on lesser charges.

Many people, myself included, were very upset about her handling of the Edwin Ramos case as well as the murder of SFPD officer Isaac Espinoza in the Hunters Point neighborhood.

Both of these incidents were very high profile in the SF bay area and kamala was at the helm, floundering.

I will admit Miss Harris is well polished, charismatic, and intelligent. Most California politicians are. The competition is to fierce not to be. Doesn't mean she is a good lawyer, or fit to be in charge of the CADOJ. It also does not mean she is not senseless and foolish.

The way the DAs office was run while she was at the helm could only have been accomplished by a complete idiot.

Ramos was a very interesting case. SF was a " sanctuary city " and Ramos an illegal immigrant. Newsom ( yes the jackass Lt Governor I keep blabbering about ) had to change the city policy after a huge public outcry. Ramos was charged with murder X 3 for killing a father and two sons. There were conflicting stories about the motive. Road rage or Ramos thought the Bolognas were rival gang members ( they weren't ).

Isaac Espinoza was murdered during a plain clothes assignment in one of the scariest neighborhoods I have ever been in. He worked out of the Bayview station, was involved in a gun battle prior to his murder, medal of valor, purple heart ( SFPD ), tough cop in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the US.

Harris was the DA during both of these high profile incidents.

A lot of people believed she was soft on crime, yes, even her fellow San Franciscans. Her Wikipedia page doesn't tell the whole story, not that I would expect that.

Kalifornia is lost, the whole thing is becoming another dictatorship run by leftists and there are not enough good citizens there to fight back.
They let it get this way, and freely opened its borders to anyone that could sneak across, including terrorists and criminals. It is not just people wanting jobs. It is the underside of the beast that pretty much runs the major cities and a center for much of the drugs entering thee US.
Actually they manufacture much of it there untouched.
If the people even tried to fight back, we should all help, but they do not even try.
They teach anti Americanism in the universities and colleges there and even in the K-12 and then spread their seed all over the country.
I see few good answers for redemption for the state. Let Mexico have the damn thing and build a wall around it all.

I suspect that there are pockets of conservatives spread throughout the state, but they are overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the socialist agenda at work. Its sad really...as I kid we used to vacation in California often, only to see it degrade itself on a yearly basis. All one has to do is take Highway 99 from Sacramento to Bakersfield and see what the state has become. When you can't tell the difference between a state in the US and a third world country its time to examine our state policy and political structure. The failure of California is pretty obvious.

I'm pretty sure that he does have the right to call someone a primate in a public discussion. We are all primates and he has a 1A right to express his opinions. As far as the basic premise of his comment about getting something for reasons other than merit; I agree with him. I do not like affirmative action, it is racist. If you want equality then base a decision off of a persons score, qualifications, experience, etc.... not their race. Too many people go around beating the equality drum in one hand and then asking for special unequal treatment in the other.
