"“the Founding Fathers championed the Second Amendment...to try to legitimize Southern citizen “slave patrols” that terrorized enslaved African-Americans, and thereby to entice Southern states to support the U.S. Constitution.”

That's right, California Attorney General Kamala Harris, who is herself Black, is arguing that a racist gun-control law enacted in 1967 is Constitutional because the Second Amendment intent in 1791 was racist, thereby condoning a racist law enacted in 1967 and therefore the ban is Constitutional."

California Attorney General Says Second Amendment Justifies Racist Law

This woman really is a stupid b/tch.

^^ Yup. She is an absolute idiot. I still can't believe her and newsom won the seats they did. I just about had an aneurism the night I heard they won. The people in southern California must not of had a clue what these two idiots were about.

    San Francisco politics, mainstream.

IMHO she is not going to stop at CA AG either, if she can help it. Same as newsom, I am sure he is eyeing bigger and better as well. Either one will likely be the next Governor, then who knows.

Perfect example of the state of the educational system in Kalifornia.
Can we give it back to Mexico yet?

What is really racist is the fact that a smarter applicant was passed on in order to allow this talking primate entry into law school.
Really have to wonder how many people had scores higher than hers and did not get in.

She is very unlikely to be an idiot, more likely a dishonest politician. I am pretty confident she has read Adam Winkler's book on some roots of gun control.

Nothing to do with the educational system.

    No, we can't.

I'm pretty sure that calling somebody a "primate" is not appropriate for a public discussion.

    She is very foolish.

I had to watch KTVU and read bay area news rags every morning for her entire term as SF DA.

Ms Harris as SF DA was inept, spineless, and unprepared.

Here is a brief snippet from a SF Weekly article, so you can judge her performance ( May 5, 2010 )

The general decline in felony trial convictions has included more failures in murder cases specifically, according to records released by the D.A.'s office in response to a request from SF Weekly. From January 2009 through the end of last month, according to the records, Harris has obtained murder or voluntary manslaughter convictions for just 11 out of 20 homicide defendants at trial, with the rest acquitted or convicted on lesser charges.

Many people, myself included, were very upset about her handling of the Edwin Ramos case as well as the murder of SFPD officer Isaac Espinoza in the Hunters Point neighborhood.

Both of these incidents were very high profile in the SF bay area and kamala was at the helm, floundering.

I will admit Miss Harris is well polished, charismatic, and intelligent. Most California politicians are. The competition is to fierce not to be. Doesn't mean she is a good lawyer, or fit to be in charge of the CADOJ. It also does not mean she is not senseless and foolish.

The way the DAs office was run while she was at the helm could only have been accomplished by a complete idiot.

California voters were duped, again. I honestly believe if people in the southern part of the state watched some of the news stories we were exposed to in the bay area, her and gavin would have never won public office outside of SF.

Then again, that geriatric Feinstein has been in public office longer than I have been alive in one capacity or another so who knows.

I'm not familiar with any of the mentioned cases, neither am I a lawyer. I imagine though, lawyers are not magicians, and have to operate within constraints of the law with the evidence (or lack of such) presended. Also, being foolish in my dictionary means "bubbleguming around", which I also can't confirm or deny in case of Ms.Harris since I have not observed her at those trials :)

Another leftard just trying to play the race card and rewriting history to fit the progressive communist agenda. Period

Just more of the same for the last 6 yrs. Nobody care anymore as they are still defending it. Nobody on the left is certainly getting any smarter about there own demise of liberty. What is it about that thinking that they continue to vote against their own self interest. Hmmmmmmmmmm SICK.

Ramos was a very interesting case. SF was a " sanctuary city " and Ramos an illegal immigrant. Newsom ( yes the jackass Lt Governor I keep blabbering about ) had to change the city policy after a huge public outcry. Ramos was charged with murder X 3 for killing a father and two sons. There were conflicting stories about the motive. Road rage or Ramos thought the Bolognas were rival gang members ( they weren't ).

Isaac Espinoza was murdered during a plain clothes assignment in one of the scariest neighborhoods I have ever been in. He worked out of the Bayview station, was involved in a gun battle prior to his murder, medal of valor, purple heart ( SFPD ), tough cop in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the US.

Harris was the DA during both of these high profile incidents.

A lot of people believed she was soft on crime, yes, even her fellow San Franciscans. Her Wikipedia page doesn't tell the whole story, not that I would expect that.

Kalifornia is lost, the whole thing is becoming another dictatorship run by leftists and there are not enough good citizens there to fight back.
They let it get this way, and freely opened its borders to anyone that could sneak across, including terrorists and criminals. It is not just people wanting jobs. It is the underside of the beast that pretty much runs the major cities and a center for much of the drugs entering thee US.
Actually they manufacture much of it there untouched.
If the people even tried to fight back, we should all help, but they do not even try.
They teach anti Americanism in the universities and colleges there and even in the K-12 and then spread their seed all over the country.
I see few good answers for redemption for the state. Let Mexico have the damn thing and build a wall around it all.
Help all the remaining conservatives get out first.

I agree that for the most part, California is a lost cause. I suspect that there are pockets of conservatives spread throughout the state, but they are overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the socialist agenda at work. Its sad really...as I kid we used to vacation in California often, only to see it degrade itself on a yearly basis. All one has to do is take Highway 99 from Sacramento to Bakersfield and see what the state has become. When you can't tell the difference between a state in the US and a third world country its time to examine our state policy and political structure. The failure of California is pretty obvious.

Pretty damned sad really, but it just gets worse every year and their dumb laws get spilled all over the country by
the brainless that leave there and settle to other states and try to bring their laws with them.

You seem pretty sure of a number of things.
Based on what evidence are you sure that read that particular book?

Really calling someone a primate is not appropriate?
May I ask which failed school system are you the product of?
Humans are primates, simple biological classification.

I'm pretty sure that he does have the right to call someone a primate in a public discussion. We are all primates and he has a 1A right to express his opinions. As far as the basic premise of his comment about getting something for reasons other than merit; I agree with him. I do not like affirmative action, it is racist. If you want equality then base a decision off of a persons score, qualifications, experience, etc.... not their race. Too many people go around beating the equality drum in one hand and then asking for special unequal treatment in the other.

    Now back to the thread.
