Swung up there out of curiosity. First off, holy cow....before they opened it was a carnival. A line completely aorund the block and the building just to get in the door. I had lunch with a friend of mine at the casino, and swung over after it had been open for an hour.

Surprisingly, found parking and saw no line. Huh, maybe everyone checked it out and is milling around inside. So I walked in....

I'm pretty sure the checkout line was 2 hours' worth of wait. Decent price on Federal .223. Nothing particularly stellar that I didn't see at Lacey. I actually think I prefer the Lacey store, but maybe once the crush of people dies down I'll re-evaluate.

There were guns being escorted out of the door every 5 minutes so business was good.

I'll be very interested to see what happens to the PDX firearms market when they open up in Gresham in a year or so.

Price-wise I didn't see anything that would've been compelling to shop with them over a local or favorite store. Admittedly, I don't know how the prices are normally in that area.

I buy all of my long guns from Sully in Salem, and for me that's not changing.

With their prices they won't be hurting many of the players in Portland. Keiths and the other discount guns won't see more then a few minutes blurp on their sales. The guys who charge List+ on everything will see another player in their market share.
