"Eliminate Non-Serialized Untraceable Firearm) Ordinance, will "prohibit the possession, purchase, sale, receipt, and transportation of non-serialized, unfinished frames and unfinished receivers, and non-serialized firearms within the City of San Diego."

"San Diego Police have reported the number of unserialized guns seized continues to rise every year exponentially. In 2019, police seized 77 ghost guns, and that number soared to 211 in 2020. The number this year could swell to more than 400.

I think an expensive taxpayer funded (on both sides) legal fight is on the way. Banning future sales and what not is one thing but wholesale ban is a whole other ballgame.

Would like to see where they draw the line on what is a "frame" and what isn't.

A rectangle of steel or polymer? One that is roughly the shape of a receiver with no holes or machining yet? One hole? two holes? A trigger guard? What?

A spool of 3D printing polymer?
