AB 1810, the long gun registration bill from Mike Feur (D), AB 1934, the open carry ban from Lori Saldana (D), and AB 2358, the ammunition vendor reporting bill from Kevin DeLeon (D) died last night.

Maybe there is as shred of sanity left down there.

Nah, this is just a bump for the socialist PRC politicians - they'll all be back and they'll be ratified by the house and whoever becomes the next governor. I spent the first 40 years of my life in that socialist garbage heap and have seen it happen before. I hope it gets better as I have family that owns guns still there but I don’t see that happening. Neither do they. Feb of 2011 the ammo ban bill (AB962) kicks in. The govenerator vetoed three times previously but grabbed his ankles late last year to appease his federal masters after the PRC took yet billions more funding for all the socialist crap they pass and don’t have money for.

Sorry for the rant. I don’t know if it shows but I’m a tad jaded. :D

Yeah, I know it's really different between OR and CA. I grew up a mile from the CA border. The last few times I've been back there I've taken care not to cross over into the Golden State as they don't like my "reasonable capacity" magazines.

I generally try not to be a defeatist... but it's hopeless down there. Best we can do is do what we're able to keep it from happening here.

That's a fight that needs to be fought daily. Be ever vigilant. Here’s a story that I was told by a Lane county sheriff three months ago to help illustrate how twisted it is down there:

A friend of his from Oregon went to visit a guy in Arizona who lives just across the border from the PRC. They decided to go out into the desert with metal detectors to see if luck was on their side. It was not in so many ways that day. PRC sheriffs were out that day and noticed a pickup and a couple of guys wandering around with metal detectors just inside the PRC only a few hundred yards from the border (sorry – I meant state line). The sheriffs pulled over for a chat and claimed that they were suspicious of the guys of being illegals (even though they were both obviously not – the guy from Arizona is retired and even had proof of being a US Army veteran) and demanded to be allowed to search the truck. The truck was owned by the fellow from Arizona (with Arizona plates and valid registration) and he allowed it to be searched. He forgot about the revolver he had in the truck. A major mistake. The sheriffs found it, arrested him and are currently prosecuting him for having a loaded “concealed” weapon. The man (again, a retired US Army veteran) had a valid Arizona CCW but that is entirely irrelevant in the PRC. You have a firearm in a car that is not unloaded and secured in a locked case stored away from ammunition you’re screwed. The police in the PRC are, generally, being taught that guns are bad and the people that own them are scum that need to be taught lessons.

Interesting note – wait, not interesting it’s revoltingly hypocritical – Diane Frankenstien rushed to get a concealed weapons permit because she hung out with a gay guy that was killed (Harvey Milk) and was afraid that she’d be next. She was granted the permit and purchased two S&W 357’s to go along with her new shiny permit. Makes me want to vomit every time she goes on about subjugating the peons of not only the PRC but the US as a whole with new gun bans. A repulsive creature is she.

[email protected] good thing you don’t bring standard cap pistols anywhere near the PRC Drew – just remember to keep on this side of the line. :D Sorry – another rant. I’m on a roll tonight man! I’m going to go read the goofy humor thread so I can chuckle for a sec.

Another rant - sorry. :)
