Saw one the other day and was fascinated. Guess it was discontinued in 2005.
Does anybody have one of these? What were the drawbacks on this design?

You mean the M17? I was handling my friends last weekend. Drawbacks are horrible iron sights and you cant change the ugly pistol grip. Wouldn't want to shoot it if I was left handed either. But it does give you the ballistics of a 20" barrel in a compact package.
