This is a video of Bill Wilson (of Wilson Combat) and Ken Hackathorn discussing the all of the modifications to the 1911, then going into the Wilson shop and watching the smith do them. It's 2 hours long, and has some cheesy production values, but it is fascinating. Chock full of information on how to get the most out of your 1911, and debunking a few myths.

I think it may be time to build my own 1911. (screw it up, trash it, and try again)
