It seems many companies have raised the threshold for purchases to get free shipping. Midwayusa for example use to offer free shipping deals with $75+ purchases. Recent free shipping offers, from them, have required purchases of $149 or more. DTT raised their threshold from $120 to $250. Bear Creek Arsenal eliminated their free shipping offers but then they brought it back with $375 threshold (ar pistols and handguns don't count towards $375 threshold).

I am interested in a couple of the cheap Bear Creek Arsenal barrels Midwayusa is selling under the AR Stoner name but shipping sours the deals for me. We'll see what kind of free shipping offers come up in the near future. Here are the barrels I'm interested in.

I honestly would say, I've never visited that site and be sure to check with others that the site is legitimate and people actually bought off from there

It might look like are too good to be true, however I've had no experiences with it at all,

Id personally suggest getting a complete prebuilt upper off ar15discounts or midwayusa

Hang around a bit. You'll see that @arakboss does things many folks wouldn't. :D

Here's a complete rifle for $307.99. Kind of defeats the do it yourself aspect but certainly fits the cheap category.
For an extra $30 you could get more aluminum and less plastic.

$339 Anderson AR15 Rifle.

I slept on it for a few days but when inventory got down to one item remaining (308 barrel), I pulled the trigger on these bottom of the barrel, barrels. They were even cheaper than Bear Creek Arsenal. Looks like more ramen and chicken for the next couple of weeks.

$85 6.5 Creedmoor barrel.

(Manf by BA for Stag Arms).

The 6.5 CM barrel is the barrel Stag used in this rifle.

My cheap barrels arrived today. I was expecting the worst as far as scratches go but they look fine to me. I have an Aero M5 upper ready for a barrel. I am going to try the 308 barrel first.

I will be on the hunt for another cheap dpms Gen 1 style upper soon.

Anybody tried Right To Bear's house products. This lower build kit is $57 shipped.

I have used RTB parts and receivers in builds. Largely they have been solid. I have noticed that they must cycle through vendors that provide their private label parts, as their have been differences between recent parts and parts I purchased a few years ago.

RTB is still on my surfing rotation, but for no specific reason they haven't been on my go to list lately. Maybe my tastes have changed. One thing I will say about their m4 upper receivers is that their feed ramps are rather small. That can create bobbles with some bullet profiles in my experience.

Budget AR10 Stripped Billet Upper $45

I've heard that it's best to stick with one manufacturer for AR10 parts since there are no mil spec standards. Maybe that's changed in the last few years.

I've heard the same thing, which has kind of prevented me from entering the ar10/m5 platform market. These were on sale for $179.99 last month and I almost pulled the trigger on it.
I think for a decent fit and finish I'd have to mate it with a PSA upper specifically. I heard there's different specs for pin alignment and I don't want to trial and error my way in to a decent build. Psa uppers have pretty good sales sometimes too. This one pairs to make a whole rifle for $650 with shipping at current prices.

That used to be true about a decade ago.

DPMS patterned AR10's have pretty much become the 'standard' though. I don't know of a single manufacturer making Armalite patterned guns anymore, not even Armalite.

Stag & Diamondback AR10's are both Armalite pattern. Both have the slant cut around the castle nut area of the lower receiver:
