Thanks! Nothing like having fresh trout, quail breasts and mule deer while hunting! The yotes and badger were left for the magpies though
I really wanted to, it had a beautiful coat. This was the first time i ever saw a badger and was amazed by its hide, unfortunately the combination of his stench and their hide being tougher than leather i just cut the head off and kept the skull.I'd definitely have tanned the badger, or stuffed it and left it by the front door to greet people.

Yes sir, smelled just like a skunk! HahaI guess your knives saw a lot of game that trip. A skull seems like a good prize to take home with ya! I'll have to get one someday.
I've never smelled fresh badger, but I bet it's intense! Halfway between a skunk and a bear I suppose.

they do stink. like skunks! shot one as i was walking up to my dead buck this year. also shot one labor day when i was out scouting.
The hide makes killer salmon flies tho...
