Hey all--some of you have probably seen the long thread on Brushfire Plague...but with the sequel now out, I thought it deserved its own announcement! It's book 2 in a planned trilogy. it's all set in Oregon too.

I'm a long time NW Firearms members...but just moved to Colorado! I hope you'll check out a well-written prepper/survivalist novel that most readers can't put down. It's a great gift idea too for someone you want to open their eyes to the need for prepping.

Amazon.com: Brushfire Plague: Reckoning eBook: R.P. Ruggiero: Kindle Store

You can also check out the original, Brushfire Plague, here and it's only $4.95 on Kindle for a limited time!

Review from J. Armstrong over on the FALfile Forum that I thought you all might want to see!:

Just finished the sequel Brushfire Plague; Reckoning". I was prepared to be disappointed, as sequels don't always have the best track record of living up to their predecessors, but I am happy to say that, if anything, this book is superior to the first ! It really includes some nice lessons on group dynamics ( as I am sure you intended !!!).

I think one of the strengths of the book is that it doesn't attempt to explain or teach every little trick or detail; it is not a "survival primer". It spends a good bit of effort to be somewhat off the beaten track usually covered in other such novels, which I enjoyed and appreciated !

Two thumbs up - if anyone hasn't sampled these books yet, I would recommend that you do so. I do not believe you will be disappointed !!!

Richdav--I don't think an audio is coming anytime soon...but I will keep asking the Publisher!
Boomerang--thanks!! Let me (and the world!) know what you think of the sequel!

Do you read Glenn Reynolds? If so, you might ask him for a book plug

    Instapundit

And I did purchase the book for my Kindle.

All - if you have a charity you like to support, you might buy these books thru the link smile.amazon.com
    smile rather than www
There are thousands of charities listed, you will be given a short list when you go the first time, but you can expand it.

There is no impact to the Author/Publisher, nor to you. And for those of us with Prime, you can still get free shipping.

If you run a not for profit group (charity) you might look into getting signed up with them.

    Great books!
I'm almost finished with the second book. Any idea when we can expect #3?
