According to Oregon Department of Forestry - Tillamook State Forest Target Shooting the rock pit is again open for shooting. See you all there Saturday.

Do we know why it was closed?

I don't shoot there, but I go past there to get to my shooting spot.....it was open on my way up, and closed on the way back with caution tape....

Take highway 6 to Browns camp OHV area. Follow Saddle Mountain Road until it "T's" into Beaver Dam, take a right and the rock quarry will be on your left. I HIGHLY recommend you take a look at Google Maps or a good set of maps for that area before venturing out. Once off Hwy 6, road signs are extremely limited and Browns Camp is very easy to get lost in.
