Took my old Browning out the other day to bust some clays, hadn't been out to play for at least 20 yrs. Using some cheap low brass ammo and gun wouldn't auto eject, works fine by pulling handle back. Any suggestions to fix? Does it have O-rings that should be replaced or????
yup - if its an A5 it could be the friction rings are set incorrectly, the tube could have corrosion causing the rings to not slide correctly, you could have plastic residue buildup in the chamber.... would have to see it to take a crack at the answer. I recently was looking into a problem with a friend's A5 and read that one guy had inspected the chamber and it looked clean - since everything looked to be in order he put a 12 ga bronze brush on a drill and scrubbed out the chamber with some solvent a few times, lubed up the tube lightly and made sure the friction rings were set correctly (adjustable for light to heavy loads) and it worked fine after the clean/lube.
Thank you Swedish, this is helpful, unlike the prior smug reply from MarkAd. By the way MarkAd, the link you provided so generously takes one to Goggle search engine. Next time don't bother putting yourself out for us "un-selfrelliant" folks out here!
