Sold pending funds. Offered is a Browning BL-22, Grade II classic, traditional lever-action rimfire rifle. Combine the appeal of the traditional lever-action rifle, add the quality and handling of a Browning, mix in a little bit of rimfire fun and the result is this beautiful firearm. Made in Japan with a forged steel receiver, short-throw lever and crisp trigger, it's always ready to take on a walk in the woods, knock over a few tin cans or even put some dinner on the table. Unlike many .22s, the quality of a BL-22 is evident from first glance, with beautiful fit and finish and accuracy to match. This carbine is certainly a rimfire rifle meant to be used and enjoyed now and for generations to come. The short-throw lever travels through an arc of only 33 degrees and carries the trigger with it, preventing finger pinch between lever and trigger on the return swing. The grooved receiver will accept most grooved or tip-off type mounts or receiver sights. The precision factory sights are an adjustable, folding leaf rear and a raised bead front. The muzzle is recessed to preserve accuracy. The 5 lb. trigger pull is clean and crisp without creep and the trigger is gold colored. A disconnect system is designed to prevent firing until the lever and breech are fully closed and pressure is released from and reapplied to the trigger. The magazine will handle any combination of .22 short, long or long rifle. Magazine capacity is 15 long rifle and up to 22 shorts. The forearm and straight-grip buttstock are American walnut with cut checkering and a very few, very minor safe dings. The receiver and trigger guard are engraved with tasteful scroll designs. $500 face-to-face in northwestern Oregon. An Oregon drivers license is required.
