Browning Buckmark vs Ruger Mark

I am thinking of buying a browning buckmark very soon with a 5.5'' bull barrel and truglow sights. I want opinion of what people like better. the Browning or the ruger?

I have both of these,my preference is the Browning,the wife likes the Ruger.
Ruger is PITA to take apart to fully clean,Browning is much simpler.
As to accuracy,they both are capable of exceptional targets.
I prefer the grip and the balance of the Browning,again,the wife likes the Ruger.
You should try to shoot both of them to make a comparison,they are both good guns,it will be a personal choice.

I have held bolth and prefer the Browning. It felt a little more balanced to me.

When supressed the browning seems to be nosier due to the opening on both sides. Both are excellent pistols though.

I have one Ruger 22/45 and three (Count them...3) Buckmark's. Tell you anything? It's all in preference. Get what feels right. (Literally.)

Is there much difference in the camper vs standard version? I was thinking of getting the camper as I dont care for mounting optics on a pistol.

Not much difference, depending on how you plan to use it. Looks and feel, as have been noted, are key.

I sold my Ruger to buy a Buckmark. I'm not disappointed. Mine is a stainless target model with a 7.25" barrel (not the one with the full length rail).

Yup....she's a Buck Mark Now just stock up on .22 ammo while it's still a fairly reasonable price.

I noticed prices going up at the local shops. I think about the only ones that still have a good price is bimart and other large chains

I have a Mk III 22/45, that I really like. But I think I may have to get a buckmark as well to see what all the hubub is.

I have a Ruger MK III in Stainless. Extrememly accurate and fun to shoot, but disassembly is a PAIN! Haven't tried the Browning, but everything I have ready says that both pistols are excellent.

The only bad thing I've heard about the Buckmark (camper model) is that the top rail with the rear sight is plastic and has a tendency to break if it's overtightened or is shot with a lot of higher power rounds.

That being said, I have a buckmark and love it. Brother in law has Ruger and he loves his.
