Browning BAR .270

I have a Browning BAR that I got used from a member of this sight. It is in nice shape for a 1968. Some bluing wear. I bought it for my left handed son. After taking it up to sight it in he decided that the shells ejecting near his face made him uncomfortable. I'd like to trade it for something that he can use. Please no magnum calibers. He has a Weatherby MK V in .300 mag for when he grows into it. Also we are thinking about starting upland and waterfowl hunting. A left handed shotgun or Browning BPS would be nice. I figure a value in the mid to upper $500s. I can't find my camera but could do some cell phone pictures.
