FS: my Belgium Browning A5, "* Special Steel-12 gauge-Shells 2 3/4" and made in 1947. FN Number #2710xx.
I bought the great old A5 from an estate sale last year, and had Velzey (Copeland Gunworks) give it a once over. New spring, and tune and lube. It has been test fired and the original owner obviously hunted this great old Belgium. It has a fully functional Poly Choke, that I think means it was installed (welded/brazed?) actually at the Poly Hartford factory back in the day.
This A5 dates to 1947 so it is one of the very earliest A5s from after the Allies cleaned out the occupation of Belgium. Love all the hand engraving!
The proof stamps are in the pictures for you. The condition is good - the wood is really solid, the bluing is great for its age, and the bore is very good. The pictures tell the story.
The new Boyt's case, sock & sling come with it. No box or papers. *Edit: and a trigger lock, if you need one. I have 7-8 boxes of REM 00 buck, that I'll give you too. *Downsizing*
$825.00, or best offer. No trades.
Prefer face to face Tigard/Newburg, or over in Estacada at Copelands Gunworks, or maybe up in Camas at SafeFire. I can ship FFL to FFL via Copeland for an extra $50.00.
Hope you can use it
