The ejector housing on my Vaquero was scratched and had a bit of road rash, otherwise the gun was in nice shape. So I wanted to clean it up. I pulled the ejector housing and it turns out that it's aluminum. So a cold blue touch up won't work.
I checked Brownell's spray on finishes. Their house brand Gun-Kote sounds okay and the Lauer product sounds about the same but I'd have the added expense of buying an air gun rig. I'd prefer to save a few bucks and try the Gun-Kote, but not if it's a bad product.
So I was wondering if anyone here had used the Gun-Kote, if you used the gloss blue even better and what you thought about it.
Thanks.
