I am guessing two backpack bombs. Those would probably be unnoticed in that type of crowd. I hope LE finds the individuals that did this. Cowards.

Its also patriots day in MA.

And it was bombings there were two spaced explosions. The Huge plume of white smoke and reports of a strong sulpher smell as well as the large flame ball in the explosion shown on NBC would all be indicative of a Black Powder based bomb. Though there are other chemical combinations that would look similar.

According to BPD radio feed, there is a yellow Penske Rental Truck en route to Boston that is of interest. FBI is requesting the truck be located and stopped. Driver apparently claimed he is transporting medical supplies.

As this happened only minutes ago, the how's and why's can go a million directions.
To me it would be unusual for any established organization to not claim responsibility within a short time after the event. The longer we go without someone taking responsibility the more I would suspect a home grown nutball/unibomber type.
