More dem agenda hard at work... thanks Dave...
Congressman Issa has held two formal hearings relating to Operation Fast and Furious, which have produced revelations that Democrats have tried to deflect away from the Obama administration and Eric Holder's Justice Department.
Its nice to see our government hard at work for the people, in bringing all the facts into the open. cough cough

I can think of nothing more contemptible when people are willing to look the other way and ACTIVELY WORK toward covering up and putting their POLITICAL PARTY before the country's best interests. Punditry aside... left or right, is this how you want "politics" to go in OUR country?

This kind of stuff is BEYOND politics, its an outright attempt to subvert our Constitutional rights, STARTING with the 2a... then the 1a will follow, you know the one everyone likes to cling to while they shoot their mouths off. At its base, common denominator... its treason against the Constitution they have SWORN TO UPHOLD AND DEFEND.

The silence is DEAFENING.... wake the "H" up everyone!!

Redacted F&F e-mail possibly tells more than it was supposed to

As the two Washingtons get back to business following the July 4 weekend festivities, and Operation Fast and Furious documents resume their flow from the Department of Justice to Senator Charles Grassley, it may be a good time to ask about a heavily redacted e-mail exchange obtained by the senator and offered as an attachment to testimony he provided to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

From Daves link

“On October 26, 2009, emails indicate that there was a meeting of senior law enforcement officials at the Justice Department. It appears to have included the heads every law enforcement component of the Department, including directors of the FBI, the DEA and the ATF. It also included the U.S. Attorneys for all the Southwest border states, the Director of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force, and the Chair of the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee.

“Sounds like a pretty big, important meeting, doesn’t it?”—Sen. Charles Grassley, before House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform

If all these clowns knew then Holder and Obama knew too.

Maybe now that the 'daddy's little girl' trial is almost over the media, or at least the media that doesn't cover for Obama (Fox) will cover it more. I see Dave on Fox every now and then. Sure would make a nice fit for the summer news doldrums.

The redacted email can be reconstructed from almost any one of the smtp or pop3 servers it passed through. Someone is in deep shoot.

Permission granted. Not much chance our "justice" system will do anything of note.

Only after they extradite some Mexican officials who are OBVIOUSLY encouraging their citizens to sneak into our country illegally!!

"Illegal immigration" wouldn't be a problem if the US didn't have idiotic drug laws and corrupt politicians bribing potential future voters with entitlements. Abolish welfare and the drug war and the US can have open immigration with no negative impact.

Remember that the US was built by immigrants arriving in an era of open borders without all the leftist corruption in society.

That said, Mexico can take Holder and do as they wish.

Are you ready for ......................... Operation Castaway?

See if this sounds familiar.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Virginia O'Brien, Special Agent in Charge at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Tampa Field Division, ran a gun-running investigation that was walking guns to Honduras using the techniques and tactics identical to Fast and Furious, it was reported to these correspondents this evening via private correspondence from a proven credible source."

"This is confirmed as accurate," the correspondence continued. "There are emails in existence where O'Brien has advised those involved that Tampa does not have to report their walked guns because Tampa FD is not a part of Southwest Border or Project Gunrunner."

"From a first person source she is sh*tting herself trying to cover it up," the report stated. "

Try and blame THAT on an out-of-control Phoenix office Mr. Holder.

"Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be a convenience store--not a government agency."

Damn... so why walk guns to Honduras? To have them sold back to Mexican cartels? Maybe that and to help arm supporters of the "ousted" Honduran president Zelaya?

He was fairly accurate when initially discussing the gunrunner guns, at 1800-2500, but then the 30K popped out of no-where with no supporting info. I'm assuming that the 30K is the state department sales which showed up as the bulk of traced guns, but the distinction needs to be made (and supported).

Edit: WTF?! He also passes off the 70% myth as fact with out even the simplest attempt to explain that it's actually 70% of traceable were traced (which in of itself is a subset of a subset...). The truth and accuracy is part of what should separate the good guys (us) from the bad guys (this administration).
