Online this morning to buy 500 rem.44 mag brass out of stock but had them in nickel. They were about 20 dollars more never used nickel before. Pro's & Con's any opinions? Thanks Mike

Nickel, being a much harder metal then brass, may cause accelerated wear of your dies but if you are using a carbide die that may not be an issue. I found that after several reloadings the nickel started to flake off of the casings leaving them unsightly looking at best. At the end of the day I prefer brass.

    Good
doesnt corrode when left in leather (good for law enforcement and such)

    Bad
    more expensive
    splits easily if solid nickle
less reloads maybe 10 instead of 20 times before splitting

Thanks found some 44mag brass so I'll stay away from the nickel. Mike
