BP pistol holster.

Just bought a .44 Confederate Navy black powder pistol from Cabela's in Tulalip,WA.
Barrel is about five inches long.

What type/brand of holsters are recommended? Preferably with a retaining strap over the hammer.

Dixie gun works has one called the 'California' holster; in that style but with a strap.

Ideas?

Try Triple K, holsters and belts, pouches, etc. I became a dealer for them just to get a break on my own stuff.

Update:

My luck with Cabela's continues... they had the correct holster for ~$20.00 or so, and I ordered it. Standard shipping.
A week went by - no new toy; went online to chat with Cabela's support team..."Nate" looked into the situation and asked me what the confirming email had said.
What email - never got one.
"No. we always send one."
Not this time.
NINE days later I get the confirming email.

And the holster is -backordered-till the 25th of August.

Finally got the Triple K holster from Cabelas...gun fits well; all I can ask.

Pleased with the product - not so much with the seller.
