I have peed on both sides of the river.:D We could make a difference, just takes wanting to fight back.
BS
You need lots of people willing to join your cause and even more money and that ain't gonna happen in this state. There are simply too many of the enemy.
I will take no pleasure in saying I told you so, but a year from now I'm gonna say "I told you so."

I am all good with that "I told you so", I can still look in the mirror every day and know I tried to do something. There are always people out there that are the nay sayers and the quitters that will tell you why something won't work, but they never come up with something else. You may think you will get the last laugh but a year from now you are going to just be shaking your head because you didn't help.

It's all right, the game will still be on.:D

Just the threat of a boycott has influenced policy and put fear into big corporations before. Boycott All of Oregon? I don't know. The Teachers Unions and Utilities that donate to the Party of anti-gun laws? Not possible if you live here.

Now come up with a private Company. A restaurant chain, a brewery, a winery, a casino or car dealership and you may get some action!

I looked and I can't find a current list from the last Election though.

Tourism? A boycott on vacations to Oregon by pro 2nd A people? I guess you could post on gun websites in other States, http://www.georgiapacking.org/forum/ . It might have an impact if you contact people like http://industry.traveloregon.com/ and let them know what you are doing. If they are not aware it's no good.

I have posted at other sites and started a Facebook page. I will keep it up until I feel like I have made some difference. It takes more than just one to do this but I will still do it even if I get no help. Human nature tends to make people bubblegum a lot but never stand up. bubbleguming is the easy way and the path most will follow right to the end. Then they will look for someone to blame.

It's just the way people are, it's why the politicians take the people's rights, people are too lazy to keep them.

You have no idea if I have "helped" or not (here is a clue: I am a platinum level support member of this forum).
I find your self righteous posts amusing and sometimes pathetic and your comprehension skills must be be lacking somewhat also (reread my post).

Well it certainly helps with all the negative comments you make. Deal is I won't trade insults with you, it's not worth the time. If you took the same time going after those who steal your rights as you do those trying to save them then your words would be worth something. You dont even know who you are supposed to be against so I doubt you will ever be much help.

There are a lot of truths by everyone in the latest posts.:D:):)

IN MY OPINION, Reggie should dial it down, and Jim should become a paying member:D

And we should go on.

One of the things I like about this site is it is pretty much VOID of personal attacks:cool::cool::D:D

And I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express a little while ago:rolleyes:o_O:confused::cool:

Personal attacks don't mean a thing on the net, they are always bravely spoken and dully received. I do wonder who's side they are on, but then I doubt if they even know. They want to call you self righteous and pathetic just like the left does when they Alinski you. They can't see the difference in success and failure, if the boycott fails who loses? Yet they will laugh in your face and call you stupid rather than help make it work.

I am good with it, I recognize what it is and will still work to boycott. Those that want to help will and the rest can go watch the game....o_O

Seems to me that doing our best to avoid doing business with Oregon (all) democrats would have much-more effect since that party is the worst of the worst, and hardly anything useful (besides produce) is made in this NIMBY state.:D

There are a couple right-leaning counties on this side of the cascades (Yamhill), the State of Jefferson, and 90% of central and Eastern Oregon....shop/spend money there or out of state if you can.

The assurance that we know who we are funding is more important than ever.

I understand exactly what Just Jim is trying to accomplish. Back in 1994 Ballot Measure 8 was voted in making major changes to the PERS retirement system. Luckily it made it to the Oregon Supreme Court, which overturned most of it as being illegal, except for creating a Tier Two for new employees. One of the big supporters was Mark Hemstreet, owner of the Shilo Hotel chain. I had stayed at Shilo hotels over the years, but have not stayed, or spent a dime there since 1994. I am pretty sure my non-patronage did not cause him to miss any meals, but it made me feel better for trying.

We can make a difference if we all do our part by boycotting and letting your legislator know you are boycotting. They get enough phone calls and they will start changing what they do. Plus get your friends out of state to call and say they won't come here to vacation. It will work if we get more help.

I survive in part by running a small business. Thanks for proposing to destroy my livelihood and leave me destitute.

I am proud to bank at a locally owned bank, Citizen's Bank. This helps to keep money in my community. They have never taken a position on guns. I still remember, back in the 2008 crisis, getting a polite letter from them in polite bankerese that, loosely translated, said "About the subprime morgage game--We dont have a dog in that race. It never made any sense to us."

Thanks for proposing to ruin Citizen's Bank.

Nearly all Oregon farms and ranches are small businesses owned by one family. In fact, virtually all of those that specialize in sales to local markets.

Thanks for proposing to put nearly all Oregon farmers and ranchers out of business. Thanks for proposing to make locally grown food totally unavailable. Thanks for proposing to eliminate farmers markets.
